We recently attended the MDM 360 Summit 2017 in New York, where I was invited to join a panel of experts on the topic of Data Governance.

(L to R:) Rajan Chandras, NYU Langione Medical Center; Adam Sigg, Infoverity; Joe Blank, S&P Global and Pamela Larsen, American Family Insurance discuss Data Governance at the 2017 MDM 360 Summit in New York.

Joining me on the Data Governance panel were:

  • Pamela Larsen of American Family Insurance (AFI), who spoke about the company’s vision to be the most trusted and valued customer-driven insurance company.  To be customer-centric, AFI built a governance backbone that ensures that their data can be consistently trusted for all of their business initiatives.  Pamela shared AFI’s journey with Master Data Management, Data Quality and the successes they have experienced.
  • Rajan Chandras, the director data architecture and strategy at NYU Langione Medical Center, who spoke about their programs in MDM, reference data management, and big data.  He discussed how they partner with business to define and implement corresponding data governance strategies, along with various other aspects of enterprise data architecture and management, and
  • Joseph Blank, Director, Information Management, Business Intelligence & Analytics at S&P Global, who discussed the company’s master data journey to establish a corporate enterprise data governance framework.

Our customer Hayne Shumate of Mouser Electronics also joined us at this event to share Mouser’s MDM journey with the crowd and to discuss how the company leverages data to sustain 20% annual growth.  In case you missed it, our recent webinar with Informatica on the Mouser use case provides additional detail on how we helped them to differentiate and drive their business growth with rich product information.

At our booth, we shared additional use cases on the MDM and PIM solutions that Infoverity has implemented across the globe for our customers, and how we’ve helped each of them to improve enterprise data governance and customer experience with next generation MDM solutions.

Overall, #MDM360 was a great opportunity for attending customers to share how they have powered their digital transformation journeys in Big Data, Cloud and Data Governance and to hear about the latest trends in Big Data Governance and customer experience innovations.
